Zuzana Holíková

Zuzana walked the whole trail for the first time at nineteen, in twenty-six days, and has led groups on its high ridges ever since. In winter she works on the mountain rescue’s avalanche courses; in summer she is on the crest between Donovaly and Telgárt most weeks.

She is happiest on the long grassy ridge east of Čertovica, where you can walk for hours without meeting anyone, and she will happily tell you the name of every summit you can see.
