Down from the White Carpathians into the Váh valley and across the river to Trenčín, under its castle. Mostly downhill, ending in a proper town.

After a few days in the hills, a descent: from Mikulčin vrch the trail drops through the forests under Kykula and Sokolí kameň into the wide valley of the Váh.

The last kilometres are flat and on roads, past Zlatovce and across the river. Trenčín’s castle rises straight above the station and the old town: a good place for a rest day, a laundry and a big dinner.
