Only seventeen kilometres, but most of them uphill. The path leaves Myjava over the meadows of Sovinec and Hrabina and climbs through the orchards and forests of the White Carpathians.
Veľká Javorina is the highest point of the range, and the border runs right over the summit. Holuby’s hut, named after the botanist who studied these meadows, sits just below it.
