Thirty-one kilometres with over a thousand metres of climbing, through some of the wildest country on the western half of the trail. The path climbs out of the spa town through the rocks of Kamenné vráta to the pass at Omšenská baba.
After that the Strážov Mountains close in: limestone cliffs, beech forest and long saddles. Zliechov lies at the head of its valley, the last village before Strážov.
