Over Strážov, the summit that gives the range its name, and down to Čičmany with its painted wooden houses, then on to the Fačkov Pass.

A short climb from Zliechov brings you under Strážov, at 1,213 metres the highest summit of the range; the main trail skirts it, and the top is a short climb away for the view.

Then comes one of the loveliest villages on the whole trail: Čičmany, where the log houses are painted with white geometric patterns. From there the path climbs over the Javorinky saddle to the road pass at Fačkovské sedlo.
